The Hit90.9 Brekkie Crew with Lise, Sarah, Dan & Ben will become a two-person affair, with co-hosts Lise Carlaw and Sarah Wills opting to step down.
The duo stated in today’s airing that the pressure of preparing for the show and their own show, Those Two Girls at 5AM, and their own family commitments was excessive. They have decided instead to focus on Those Two Girls.
“Last year, when we accepted the network’s offer to join the Gold Coast breakfast show – it was a huge surprise, and we were excited but here’s the thing: it’s four hours of radio, two shows a day, there’s a lot of time and preparation behind the scenes. Plus, our families are in Brisbane – so there are personal commitments and logistics we have to consider,” the pair said.

The Triple M Network has acquired Hit Network stations Hit93.5 in Dubbo and Hit94.3 in Gippsland.
Triple M will be rebranding both stations on 20 July as Triple M Dubbo and Triple M Gippsland.
Pippa and Alo will remain the breakfast hosts in Dubbo and Anna Dare stays in Gippsland, but the stations will have Kennedy Molloy in the drive timeslot plus Triple M’s footy coverage.
“We’re proud to be taking the Triple M brand into these growing markets. Triple M’s core content pillars of Rock, Sport and Comedy as well as hyper localism and community focus will resonate with the people of both Dubbo and Gippsland,” said Triple M chief Mike Fitzpatrick.

News Corp Australia’s pure digital news thrust will be underlined by the launch of over 50 titles over the next three years.
News Corp Australia national community masthead network editor John McGourty said the new titles will cater to community needs for highly relatable content for their areas.
“Hyperlocal journalism is the engine room of News Corp’s subscription business, close to 50 per cent of our subscriptions come from hyperlocal content, it’s content that readers can’t get anywhere else,” he said.
The move follows the corporation’s transfer of 76 community/regional newspapers to online editions or had their content seconded to the websites of metro dailies.
The initial tranche will comprise 15 titles to go live in September 2020 - eight will be in Victoria, five in NSW and two in SA.

Scott Emerson has signed up for a drive show job at Brisbane station 4BC, starting 10 August.
The move is part of 4BC’s efforts to localise more radio content, with Neil Breen already in place as breakfast host and Ray Hadley airing his mornings show from out of the Gold Coast.
Emerson is steeped in radio broadcasting, having been part of Triple J’s initial Queensland broadcasts and was a reporter for the AM, PM, and World Today shows as well as ABC, SKY News, and The Australian. He is a former Queensland Parliament MP.
"This is an exciting time to join 4BC as it goes even more local. I can’t wait to get back behind the microphone and talk about all the issues that really matter to Brisbane. We’ll be breaking news and debating the big stories of the day - local politics, local business, local sport - and hopefully having a laugh or two. She came over following four years at The Daily Telegraph, where she was national political editor and political editor-at-large.
Markson’s entry is among new staff movements at the paper.
Former The Age CBD columnist Kylar Loussikian is in as national chief of staff. He is also a returnee, having served as reporter from 2014 to 2017.
Online news director Sid Maher has been moved up to deputy editor, alongside Petra Rees.
Kieran Gair has been formally commissioned as reporter for the Sydney bureau. He has been writing stories for the paper since September 2019.
