SBS News‘ Canberra office is looking for a new journalist to handle the Parliament beat. The person is tasked to cover federal and state politics, with the remit including pursuing leads in the field and to interview subjects of interest. The content will also be published on social media channels in addition to SBS’ TV and radio broadcasts. Candidates must be experienced in covering politics at the national and state levels for broadcast platforms, and can write on domestic and international news as needed. They will also need to familiarize and abide by the SBS Charter and code of conduct, and can work a flexible seven-day schedule.
